Facebook announced the inception of a brand new News Feed layout this morning on March 7, 2013. Facebook explains that the new layout will promote greater consistency across mobile and desktop versions of the social network and allow users to more easily filter their news feed content by content type such as photos and music or by friends lists such as close friends or business contacts.
During the livestream this morning, they barely touched on how to get the new Facebook News Feed, but they provided the following link on-screen where users can put themselves on a waiting list as the new feature rolls out. http://facebook.com/newsfeed There's no word yet on how long users will be on the waiting list once they're on it, but once they have it, they will have an opportunity to provide Facebook with feedback.
